Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Mechanic II to support offshore pressure pumping, vessel equipment, and material transfer systems in North America Offshore operations. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and refurbish mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems, with travel to offshore sites and field deployments as required.

The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance, safety compliance, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure fleet readiness and equipment reliability across shop,

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or trade certification or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
• Minimum of three years' offshore/marine maintenance experience.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and work extended/rotational schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on offshore pumping and support equipment.
• Diagnose failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Support offshore deployments and vessel readiness activities.
• Inspect, test, commission, and verify equipment performance.
• Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in all tasks.
• Assist with asset upgrades and reliability improvements.
