Information about the job:
  • Job Title: Offshore Mechanic Forman
  • Location: Worldwide
  • Duration: 12 months (renewable)
  • Rotation: Different rotation schemes on offer: 35/35 or 56/28 depending on the project location.
  • Salary: Please state your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly paid while working only.
  • Insurance:Provided by the company
Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
  • Minimum 5 years of offshore experience as a Mechanic Foreman.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate teams and report incidents and equipment status clearly and accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under demanding offshore conditions while upholding the highest safety standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, offshore maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work on a rotational offshore schedule.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance and operations.
Tasks:
  • Oversee offshore mechanical systems, ensuring operational integrity through planned and responsive maintenance.
  • Lead and coordinate mechanics during assigned shifts, promoting safety, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Follow and enforce health, safety, and environmental protocols, including permit-to-work and isolation guidelines.
  • Conduct and participate in toolbox talks and risk assessments as required.
  • Promptly report safety incidents, equipment issues, and operational anomalies.
  • Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering leadership to execute maintenance plans and resolve technical faults.
  • Supervise and assist with mechanical repairs and servicing of offshore equipment.
  • Ensure all activities align with quality and performance standards.
  • Provide regular updates and escalate critical matters to the Vessel Equipment Engineer (or the Chief Engineer/ 2nd Engineer, as needed).
