Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair and improve manufacturing equipment used to produce and deliver umbilicals for subsea operations. You will diagnose and replace electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic components and automation controls.

The role requires planning wiring layouts, reading schematics, testing units, and contributing to continuous improvement through 6S, Lean, TPM.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Understanding of flushing and system fluid cleanliness installation.
Basic computer knowledge.
1–2 years in manufacturing preferred.
Electrician license desired.
Experience with 480 VAC systems and Siemens VFDs.
Proficient in unit conversions and basic math.

Responsibilities

Understand work center training and safety requirements, OEM manuals and other equipment procedures.
Continuous improvement through 6S, Lean Practices and TPM.
Daily maintenance documentation and turnover communications.
Maintain knowledge of maintenance procedures and daily checks for the work center.
Plan wiring layouts and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
Read hydraulic and electrical schematics and understand complex drawings and procedures.
Assemble, disassemble, and test tools and assemblies for onshore/offshore applications.
Review project instructions to determine objectives and possible solutions.
