Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Technical trade school or apprenticeship in instrumentation preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical codes; familiar with 120-480V AC, 3-phase.
• General knowledge of USCG/MMS/DOT regulations preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to prioritize tasks under potentially hazardous conditions.
• Commitment to personal and job safety.
• Read safety procedures, blueprints, P&IDs, and manuals.
• Willing to work overtime; subject to DOT drug/alcohol testing.
• Strong math/logic and PLC/program computer-based troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity.
• Good communication and teamwork; able to work independently or in a team.
• Industrial environment tolerance; outdoors/indoor, temperature extremes.
• Offshore 14/14 rotation; flights departing from Houma, LA.

Responsibilities

• Assists in installing instrumentation and electrical components safely.
• Troubleshoot control systems, gas turbines, generators, and gas chromatography.
• Run conduit, pull wire, change motors, and maintain lighting systems.
• Maintain monitoring devices such as detectors and vibration/temperature monitors.
• Read P&ID and electrical diagrams; interpret plant electrical drawings.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain end devices, alarms, shutdown systems, and PLCs.
• Assist in preventive and general maintenance of electrical/pneumatic equipment.
