Job summary

Genesis Energy, L.P. seeks an experienced offshore electrical/instrumentation technician for 14/14 rotation from Houma, LA. You will install, test, and repair electrical and electronic equipment used in crude oil pipelines, including LACT/ACT units, meters, transmitters, and PLCs.

Travel and safety training are required. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of related experience or technical training, and proficiency with high voltage and PLCs (Allen-Bradley/GE).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• 2 years applicable experience or technical degree.
• Experience with high voltage and PLC units; Allen Bradley and GE preferred.
• Must be self-starter, responsible, able to work with limited supervision.
• Willing to travel; offshore role with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and repair electrical/electronic equipment used in crude oil pipelines.
• Perform measurements, regulatory equipment inspections and related duties.
• Maintain compliance documentation as required by regulations.
• Work with Maintenance and Operations to resolve field problems.
• Test/maintain LACT/ACT units and related equipment; operate valves.
• Launch/receive pipeline pigs and ensure regulator reliability.
