Job summary

Bristow Group is seeking experienced VFR helicopter pilots to support offshore oil and gas operations. This Captain position follows a 5 on, 2 off schedule (Mon-Fri) based in Houma, Louisiana, with relocation support and supplemental compensation.

Responsibilities include operating assigned aircraft safely and in compliance with regulations, maintaining accurate flight and duty records, coordinating with customers and crew, and remaining available for dispatch to Gulf of Mexico locations as

Qualifications

• Meet minimum requirements per 14 CFR 135.243.
• Hold a 1st class medical certificate.
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Helicopter Instrument rating.
• 1500 hours helicopter (PIC).
• 100 helicopter flight hours in last 12 months.
• Complete screening questionnaire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized and able to manage large workload.
• Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operates their assigned aircraft safely and in accordance with standards.
• Prioritizes safety and customer service in all operations.
• Maintains situational awareness of weather, NOTAMs, sea state, and offshore facility status.
• Manages passenger movements, aircraft movements, briefings, and baggage loading.
• Completes flight planning, preflight, fueling, and manifest oversight.
• Maintains journey logs and aircraft technical logbook times.
• Reports mechanical irregularities and ensures airworthiness.
• Facilitates professional communications with customers.
• Primarily supports the Gulf of Mexico offshore region; dispatchable to other locations.
