Bronco Energy Services is seeking an Offshore Fire Watch with 1+ year experience to monitor hot work for fire safety in the Gulf of Mexico region. The role emphasizes vigilance, prompt emergency response, and strict hazard recognition.

Responsibilities include pre-work inspections, maintaining fire equipment readiness, post-work monitoring, and clear communication with operators. The position requires ability to stand in challenging environments and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ years as an Offshore Fire Watch REQUIRED.
• Vigilance in monitoring hot work areas for sparks and fires.
• Emergency response: ability to use fire extinguishing equipment and initiate alarms.
• Hazard recognition: identify hazards and monitor atmospheres for flammable gases.
• Communication: clearly report hazards to supervisors and coordinate with workers.
• Physical fitness: able to stand long periods in confined or high‑pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Continuous Surveillance: watch for sparks, smoldering materials, or flames with focus on fire safety during hot work.
• Pre-Work Inspection: inspect area before work to identify hazards and remove or shield flammable materials.
• Fire Equipment Preparedness: keep fire extinguishers or hoses accessible and know how to operate them.
• Post-Work Monitoring: stay in area at least 30 minutes after hot work ends to check for delayed fires.
• Emergency Response: attempt to extinguish incipient fires and trigger alarm if needed.
• Communication & Authority: maintain clear communication with hot work operators and stop work if hazard detected.
• Documentation: log hot work details when required, including times, locations, and safety checks.
