Qualifications

• Experience as fire watch or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of fire safety procedures and equipment.
• Ability to stay alert during extended monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fire watch duties during hot work operations to prevent fires and protect personnel and property.
• Monitor the work area for fire hazards and report signs of fire or smoke to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain vigilance for potential fire risks during hot work activities.
• Keep firefighting equipment readily accessible and in good working condition.
• Assist in setting up fire prevention measures to contain sparks and prevent fire spread.
• Communicate with hot work operators to ensure compliance with fire safety procedures.
• Respond quickly in case of fire emergencies following established protocols.
• Provide assistance to firefighting personnel as needed during suppression activities.
• Document hot work operations and fire watch activities in written reports.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
