Job summary

NOV is seeking a Field Service Technician to serve as the primary liaison with customers, ensuring seamless operation of NOV equipment from installation through maintenance. The role requires strong technical skills and adaptability to varied work environments.

Travel to customer sites (onshore/offshore) for installation, calibration, testing, and repairs; provide training and system upgrades; and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across the service lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Microsoft Office knowledge is required.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics required.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic/control circuits required.
• Ability to utilize various electrical diagnostic tools including multimeters, oscilloscope, and basic hand tools required.
• Working knowledge of Step 7 Siemens software.
• 5 years of mechanical and hydraulics experience required.

Responsibilities

• Interface with relevant departments to understand NOV products and how to operate, test, calibrate and resolve problems safely and promptly.
• Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on NOV products.
• Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on operation.
• Communicate field failures and feedback to appropriate departments.
• Complete and submit field service documentation promptly.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with NOV policies and procedures.
