Job summary

Valaris Limited in Houston, TX is seeking an Electronic Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electronic equipment across DP, navigation, and subsea systems. You will work under the Chief ET and collaborate with IT, mechanical, electrical, engine room, subsea, drilling, marine, and safety teams.

The role requires basic electronic knowledge, fluent English, and the ability to install, calibrate, and modify systems; you will train crew, maintain spare parts, and ensure

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic electronic knowledge/skills required through experience or education.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills.
• Fluent English communication (oral and written).
• Compliance with the training matrix for Electronic Technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all electronic equipment.
• Coordinate with IT, mechanical, electrical, engine room, subsea, drilling, marine and safety departments.
• Maintain and repair electronic systems including DP, communication, data acquisition and navigational equipment.
• Install, calibrate and modify electronic systems and components per standards.
• Maintain hazardous area electrical equipment and spares.
• Document maintenance history and equipment certification documents.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance with detailed schedules.
• Train crew and ensure competencies for tasks and operations.
