Job summary

The Morrison Energy Group is seeking a DPO Captain (Master/DPO) to oversee the safe operation of an offshore vessel on a rotation schedule. You will lead the marine crew, manage DP operations, and maintain station keeping and navigation integrity.

Responsibilities include directing voyage planning, monitoring weather and risks, coordinating with clients and shore management, and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, ISM, and safety management systems onboard.

Qualifications

• Master Unlimited MMC or equivalent for vessel tonnage and area.
• Current DPO certificate from a recognized authority.
• Valid STCW certifications and endorsements for vessel command.
• Extensive experience on DP-equipped offshore vessels.
• Demonstrated leadership in Master/Chief Mate/DPO roles.
• Strong knowledge of navigation, ship handling, and offshore operations.
• Proficiency with DP systems, equipment, and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Direct all vessel operations and command crew.
• Oversee DP operations and station keeping.
• Ensure safety of personnel, vessel, cargo, and environment.
• Supervise navigation, bridge watchkeeping, and voyage planning.
• Monitor weather, conditions, and risks for safe decisions.
• Lead emergency response during DP incidents and equipment failures.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regs, ISM, and client requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and contingency planning for offshore activities.
• Coordinate with clients, offshore facilities, vendors, and shore management.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate crew; maintain competency.
• Ensure readiness and operation of DP and navigation systems.
• Maintain vessel logs, reports, and certifications.
