Job summary

CORE Group is seeking an experienced Ordinary Seaman to join an offshore drillship on a temporary international hitch. The OS will support the deck team with daily operations, vessel upkeep, and marine activities, ensuring safety and efficiency during the transit from the Gulf to South America.

Candidates must hold a current USCG MMC with Ordinary Seaman endorsement, a valid USCG Medical Certificate, and applicable STCW endorsements.

Qualifications

• Must hold a USCG MMC with Ordinary Seaman endorsement.
• Must have valid USCG Medical Certificate and STCW endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bosun, ABs, and deck crew with daily operations and assigned duties.
• Support mooring, line handling, cargo operations, and vessel mobilization activities.
• Perform general deck maintenance, including cleaning, painting, chipping, and corrosion control.
• Assist with rigging, securing equipment, and preparing deck areas for marine operations.
• Support the loading and unloading of supplies, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in assigned work areas.
• Participate in emergency drills, safety meetings, and emergency response duties.
• Follow established safety procedures, including JSAs, permit-to-work requirements, and PPE usage.
