Job summary

Transocean is seeking an experienced Crane Operator for offshore operations. You will operate the rig’s crane in a safe and efficient manner, perform preventative maintenance, and supervise a crew including Roustabouts and the Deck Pusher.

The role requires a High School Diploma (U.S.) or equivalent with applicable licenses/certifications, plus a strong commitment to HSE standards and teamwork in challenging offshore environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (U.S.) or equivalent; relevant craft certificates preferred.
• All licenses/certifications required for the region of operation must be held.
• Military discharge: preferred for U.S. candidates.
• Graduate of trade school or university where applicable.
• Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructions to Roustabouts/Rovers for current and upcoming operations.
• Inspect all lifting equipment prior to use (slings, straps, shackles, wire ropes).
• Operate the crane for running casing/riser, tubular placements, and transfer of personnel/materials.
• Notify supervisor before lifting/heavy transfers affecting rig stability.
• Support rig moves, mooring operations, and BOP assistance as directed.
• Maintain safety records and assist in daily operational safety practices.
