Job summary

Werner Enterprises in Crafton, PA is seeking an on-site Unloader to join the White Glove Delivery - Werner Final Mile team. You will unload tractor trailers and stage furniture for deliveries, in a 12n-8pm shift, Tuesday through Saturday, at $17.00 per hour.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year in transportation/logistics or furniture delivery, English proficiency, and the ability to lift heavy items and read assembly instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One plus years in transportation / logistics / delivery of furniture or appliances.
• Must be 18 years old and able to perform essential functions.
• Speak English and read assembly instructions.
• Learn how to assemble standard wooden dining room chair(s).
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Applications.

Responsibilities

• Unload tractor trailer loads and stage furniture for deliveries.
• Ensure items are assembled according to manufacturer directions.
• Report defects or damages to management.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace and dispose of waste.
• Interact professionally with Drive Teams and customers.
• Follow delivery processes to meet customer expectations.
• Assist the Delivery Driver with placement of items as directed by the Customer.
• Report customer satisfaction issues to management.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, customers and supervisors.
• Maintain regular attendance and a flexible schedule.

Work Environment : On site - Warehouse

Shift: $ 17.00 / Full Time / Tue- Sat / 5 day work schedule / 12n-8pm

Job Summary:

Physical warehouse position unloading tractor trailer loads of furniture and staging it for deliveries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• I nclude, but are not limited to, the following. Additional responsibilities will be assigned by our management leaders ensure items are assembled according to the manufacturer directions
• Perform a minimum daily assembly output as provided by the management
• Report any defects or damages of any parts immediately to the management
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace and environment
• Properly dispose of all waste accumulated during the assembly process
• Perform professionally and effectively when interacting with Drive Teams
• Use equipment properly to ensure the safety of all team members
• Follow delivery processes to ensure Customer expectations are met and/or exceeded
• Assist the Delivery Driver execute the placement of delivery items as specified by the Customer
• Report all customer satisfaction issues to the management
• Must be able to communicate effectively, get along with co-workers, customers, and supervisors
• Embrace the Werner Final Mile Values A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required in addition with the ability to work a flexible schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Computer proficiency: Microsoft Applications and other operational or client systems
• High school graduate or equivalent experience.
• One plus years transportation / Logistics / customer product assembly / delivery of furniture or appliances, or experience with a moving company.
• Must be 18 years old. Able to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Speak English and communicate with coworkers and read assembly instructions.
• Learn how to assembly standard wooden dining room chair(s).
