YOUR ROLE

As the full-time Selling Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader's "go-to" in developing and implementing the business strategy and leading the daily operations of the store. Your passion lies in training and coaching your team into high-performing sellers who consistently provide an unforgettable guest experience. Through your leadership, your team always meets their sales goals, maintains merchandising brand standards, and delivers operational excellence! Most importantly, you embody our company values and bring your authentic self to work every day.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Driving sales: As a key Leader on Duty (LOD), you excel at increasing sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through exceptional service. You analyze reports and daily trends to make strategic decisions and support the store's financial success. You collaborate with the Store Team Leader to develop short and long-term business plans to achieve key KPIs.
  • People leadership: You motivate and inspire your team by exemplifying AEO's core values. You hold your team accountable for upholding customer service standards on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
  • Talent development: You prioritize recruiting and hiring talented individuals to ensure adequate staffing. You focus on training and developing your team to deliver outstanding service and grow their skills.
  • Teamwork and engagement: You foster a collaborative environment by providing ongoing performance feedback and coaching. You conduct team meetings, development plans, and performance reviews, and celebrate successes to boost morale.
  • Operational innovation: You execute and improve daily operational procedures, support visual standards, and ensure Fitting Rooms are guest-ready and aligned with AEO Brand Standards.
  • Integrity: You maintain store safety, adhere to Asset Protection standards, follow company policies, and always do the right thing.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Passion for AE and Aerie products
  • Previous retail management experience
  • Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, and time management skills
  • Leadership and team development abilities, with knowledge of employment law
  • Business acumen
  • Flexible availability to meet store hours
