Job description

Position Purpose

Performs needed work officiating or scorekeeping at the various programs offered at the Glasgow Parks & Recreation.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  • Officiates and keeps score for the various programs offered at the Parks & Recreation Department.
  • Performs necessary cleaning activities in the officials/scorekeeper area, including helping put up all equipment in its proper location.
  • Performs related work as required.

Qualifications

Training and Experience:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older. Experience in dealing with all ages of people, in officiating a variety of sports/programs, and in scorekeeping a variety of sports/programs.

Special Requirement(s):

  • Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
  • Must consent to and pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to keep confidential information.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with other employees and the public.
