Job summary

Rivers Casino Philadelphia seeks a Surveillance Officer to monitor casino floors, cage, count rooms and other areas, identify cheating or illegal activity, and document findings with precise reports.

You will stay updated on known cheats, coordinate with departments handling assets, testify when required, and cooperate with regulatory agencies. Must be able to obtain and maintain licensing; flexible shifts, weekends and holidays are required, and written and verbal communication must be strong.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two or more years related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronic surveillance systems software preferred.
  • Good verbal and writing skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs electronic and visual surveillance of slot floor, casino cage, count rooms and other surveillance areas.
  • Identifies persons engaged in cheating, theft, embezzlement and other illegal activities or activities inconsistent with gaming procedures.
  • Keeps up to date with known cheats and undesirables to keep them off property.
  • Knows procedures of other departments involved in handling company assets.
  • Completes all reports in a timely fashion with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Testifies in court as required.
  • Notifies shift managers of suspicious or illegal activities.
  • Cooperates with regulatory personnel and agencies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary: Operates electronic surveillance equipment and observes patrons and employees participating in gambling activities to detect infractions of house rules and gaming regulations.

Essential Job Functions
  • Performs electronic and visual surveillance of slot floor, casino cage, count rooms and other areas designated for surveillance.
  • Identifies persons engaged in cheating, theft, embezzlement and other illegal activities or activities inconsistent with established gaming procedures and or regulations.
  • Proactively keeps up to date with any known cheats and undesirables to keep them off property.
  • Knows the procedures of all other departments involved in the handling of company assets and ensure these procedures are adhered to.
  • Completes all reports in a timely fashion with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Testifies in court as required
  • Notifies shift managers according to established standards of suspicious or illegal activities.
  • Cooperates with regulatory personnel and agencies as directed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of electronic surveillance systems software preferred
  • Good computer skills preferred.
  • Good verbal and writing skills.
  • Must be able to work in pressure situations and be self motivated.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
Physical And Mental Demands
  • Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Must be able to work in pressure situations and be self motivated.
  • Must possess sound and mature judgment.
  • Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
