Baptist Health campus security officer needed to patrol the Jackson campus, protect people and property, and respond to incidents with professional service. Officers act as ambassadors while maintaining a neat appearance and courteous conduct.
Role requires patrolling, reporting, escorts, and adherence to hospital policies, with emphasis on safety and customer care for patients, visitors, and staff.
Patrols and protects the entire campus, inside and outside; responds to all incidents or calls relating to the safety and security of all persons and property on the campus. Officers are expected to demonstrate exemplary customer service skills and maintain a professional appearance while serving as ambassadors of the organization. Performs other duties as assigned.
No
1 yr experience in security field, and healthcare setting.
Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. High school graduate or higher.
Possess or have the ability to complete First aid, CPR, Deescalation techniques, proper and safe restraints techniques, obtain Mississippi Security Guard Firearms Permit, meet minimum firearms qualification, complete armed guard training, and OC, Pepper Spray, Baton, or Taser Certification. Completion of CIT Training and Taser Certification are preferred.
