Job summary

Iron Mountain in the United States is seeking a Security Officer to protect facility assets and people. You will monitor CCTV, access control, and alarms, while patrolling inside and outside the site and handling daily logs and incident reporting.

The role requires clear communication, strict attention to safety procedures, and comfort with multiple security and ticketing systems.

Qualifications

• Applicants must meet all requirements, including customer-contracting requirements, which will require U.S. Citizenship.
• Effective communicator who conveys messages clearly to customers and team members.
• Multitasking across several security and ticket queue systems; tasks change throughout the day.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow a documented process and safety code.
• Technology adept with experience in Access Control systems and ticketing system software.
• Perform basic computer data entry.

Responsibilities

• Prevent unauthorized individuals/vehicles from entering the facility/restricted areas using security technology.
• Monitor safety, security and fire alarm systems and respond as needed.
• Conduct visual inspections of assets and locations via roving patrols in all conditions.
• Document daily activity and report significant security and safety incidents.
• Assess and de-escalate situations threatening safety or security.
• Electronically provision temporary/permanent access for authorized individuals.

The Officer, Safety & Security must maintain a professional demeanor and interact with these individuals in a courteous and professional manner. Pay: $21.83

Key Responsibilities:

• Prevent unauthorized individuals/vehicles from entering the facility/restricted areas by using the latest security technology.


• Monitor safety, security and fire alarm systems, monitor onsite CCTV and respond as needed.


• Conduct required visual inspection of key assets and locations within the facility through roving foot and vehicle patrols, both inside and on the outside of the facility, throughout the year and in all weather conditions.


• Appropriately document daily activity and report any significant security and safety incidents.


• Quickly and effectively assess and de-escalate situations which may present a threat to the safety or security of anyone within the facility is paramount.


• Electronically provision temporary/permanent access for authorized individuals.

Requirements:

• Applicants must meet all requirements, including customer-contracting requirements, which will require U.S. Citizenship.


• Effective communicator - clearly convey messages & requirements to inform our customers effectively, share messages between team members.


• Multitasking - we use several different security and ticket queue systems. Work tasks can change throughout the day.


• Attention to detail - ability to understand and follow a documented process and Iron Mountain’s safety code, role is very process driven.


• Technology adept with preferred experience in Access Control systems and ticketing system software


• Perform basic computer data entry.
