A leading financial institution in Hawaii is seeking a qualified Officer, Lead GL Analyst to support its day-to-day operations of the general ledger system. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA certification, and substantial experience in finance or accounting. We are currently seeking an experienced, highly analytically, collaborative Officer & Lead General Ledger Analyst to join our Controller's Division Team. This role is primarily responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Bank’s general ledger system, with a strong emphasis on analytical and technical tasks. This role involves assisting with the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial results, providing critical support to the GL Team. The GL Officer must effectively plan, communicate, and coordinate efforts to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory requirements, internal policies, and other applicable guidelines and regulations.

Compensation: The annual salary range for this level of role is $80,000 - $105,000 per year; commensurate with experience.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary)

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related field required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required
  • 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, or public accounting experience required
  • 5 years of experience in working with general ledger systems and preparing financial statements in a banking/financial institution preferred
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team or group environment and interact with internal and external personnel daily
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize work
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to work under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite of applications
  • Ability to research internal and external sources for applicable guidance
