Police officers patrol the medical center to ensure safety, enforce laws, and assist medical staff. Responsibilities include responding to complaints, emergency calls, conducting interviews, making arrests, and providing support as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications, Education, and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Ohio Driver's license
  • Completion of Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission police academy within 3 months of application
  • Ability to obtain Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission certification upon hire
  • Ability to acquire and maintain Secretary of State Police Commission
  • Ability to complete annual OPOTA firearms qualification
  • CPR certification upon hire
  • Knowledge of public safety regulations in healthcare setting (preferred)
  • No disqualifying criminal charges or convictions per Ohio Administrative Code 3701-13-05
