Kettering Health is a not-for-profit system comprising 13 medical centers and over 120 outpatient facilities serving southwest Ohio. Job Title: Police Officer

Police officers patrol the medical center to protect lives and property, enforce laws, prevent crime, and maintain visibility to establish a police presence. Responsibilities include responding to complaints, handling emergency calls, interviewing individuals, making arrests, intervening in disputes, and assisting medical staff as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s license
  • Completion of Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission police academy within 3 months of application
  • Ability to obtain Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission certification upon hire
  • Ability to acquire and maintain Secretary of State Police Commission (granted by KHN PD)
  • Successful completion of annual OPOTA firearms qualification
  • CPR certification upon hire
  • Knowledge of applicable safety laws and regulations (preferred)
  • No disqualifying criminal charges or convictions per Ohio Administrative Code 3701-13-05
