Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest and team member safety on Seneca properties.
• Know the Security Ambassador duties; may perform Security Ambassador tasks as needed.
• Assist guests and respond to critical situations including medical events and disputes.
• Maintain clear verbal communication to resolve conflicts.
• Perform continual observation and patrolling of all property areas.
• Complete duties at posts as assigned within policies and procedures.
• Complete CPR/First Aid and other required training.
• Report violations to Security Supervisor.
• Protect integrity of slot, sportsbook and table game areas.
• Perform any Class III related duties as required.

The Officer is responsible for properly executing security duties on an assigned shift, adequately protecting the life and property of guests, team members and Seneca Gaming Corporation property while maintaining guest service that meets the expectations of the Seneca Gaming Corporation. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1. Ensure the safety of guests and team members while on the premises of the Seneca Gaming Corporation.
• 2. Have a complete working knowledge of the Security Ambassador position. At times, a Security Officer may be assigned to work positions normally assigned to a Security Ambassador or to carry out duties normally assigned to a Security Ambassador.
• 3. Assist guests and team members and respond to critical situations (Medical emergencies, conflict resolution for guest disputes, etc.).
• 4. Must have outstanding verbal communication skills to resolve or diffuse difficult situations such as guest conflicts, disputes, complaints, etc.
• 5. Continual observation and patrolling, as directed, of all areas of Seneca Gaming Corporation properties as well as determined by Security Management.
• 6. Work any designated or assigned posts and complete all duties at the post within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation.
• 7. Successfully complete CPR/First Aid Training Course; and any other training required by the Director of Security.
• 8. Report to the Security Supervisor any violations, acts, or situations which are detrimental to the best interest of the Seneca Gaming Corporation.
• 9. Ensure the integrity of all slot, sportsbook areas and table games of the Seneca Gaming Corporation.
• 10. Must be able to perform any Class III related duties such as, but not limited to; asset transfers, Table Fills, slot/jackpot escorts, Card and Dice verification and destruction, or any other duties associated with Class III gaming security. These duties are fluid and may change on a daily basis.
• 11. Adhere to all compliance requirements required of a Security Officer from the Seneca Gaming Corporation and any regulatory agencies that oversee Class III Gaming operations.
• 12. Assist in any internal or external investigations conducted by the Seneca Gaming Corporation, SGA or authorized local authorities.
• 13. Maintain the strictest of confidentiality with respect to the internal functions of the Security Department as well as any other information deemed to be confidential.
• 14. Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
• 15. Provide exceptional guest service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
• 16. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• 17. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
• 18. Attend all necessary meetings.
• 19. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

• 1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
• 2. High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 3. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following fields; Security, Law Enforcement, Military or Hospitality.
• 4. Must be able to use approved software programs for Security duties (such as report writing software, Dispatch software, etc.) as well as programs such as Word and Excel.
• 5. Must have good observation skills.
• 6. Must have good writing and spelling skills.
• 7. Prior guest service experience preferred.
• 8. Must have proven customer service experience and must be able to work in an intense and fast paced environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform the required job duties.

• 2. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.

• 4. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, noisy casino environment and effectively deal with guests, management and employees in all situations.

Salary Starting Rate:

$17.50

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.

Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
