Office Technicians perform a variety of difficult clerical duties in support of their assigned program area.
**These positions work around inmates and will speak with inmates on a regular basis.**
Individuals eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position.

California State Prison-Sacramento is a high-security male institution located in Folsom, CA. Employees may need to be in close proximity to inmates and visit various areas within secured housing units.
The positions require the ability to type at a minimum speed as specified in the Class Specifications. A valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed must be obtained prior to hiring. Additional information about acceptable typing tests is available on the CalCareers.ca.gov website.

Confidential information includes SSN, birthdate, student ID, driver’s license number (unless required), eligibility basis, examination results, LEAP status, marital status, and age. Possession of the Minimum Qualifications will be verified before interview and/or appointment. Include unofficial transcripts/diploma when meeting Minimum Qualifications through education. Official transcripts may be required upon appointment. Applicants not meeting Minimum Qualifications will be ineligible and may file an appeal.
Applicants new to CDCR or DJJ must undergo a background check with Live Scan Fingerprinting and Tuberculosis testing before appointment, with annual testing thereafter.
