Office Technicians perform a variety of difficult clerical duties in support of their assigned program area.

**These positions work around inmates and will speak with inmates on a regular basis.**

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position.

Minimum Requirements

California State Prison-Sacramento is a high-security male institution located in Folsom, CA. Employees may be in close vicinity of inmates and visit various areas within secured housing units.

  • The position requires the ability to type at a minimum speed as specified in the Class Specifications. Candidates must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming their ability to meet the minimum typing speed prior to hiring. Additional information on acceptable typing tests is available on CalCareers.ca.gov.

Minimum qualifications will be verified prior to interview or appointment. Education proof, such as unofficial transcripts or diplomas, must be included for verification. Official transcripts may be required upon appointment. Applicants not meeting minimum qualifications will be ineligible for the list and may appeal if applicable.

Applicants new to CDCR or DJJ must undergo background checks via Live Scan Fingerprinting and Tuberculosis testing before appointment, with annual testing thereafter.
