California Correctional Health Care Services seeks an Office Technician (Typing) at HQ in Elk Grove, Sacramento County, within the Health Care Contracts and Claims Management Branch.

Effective July 1, 2025 in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 04, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 30, 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.
Under general supervision of the Supervisor I, the Office Technician (Typing) provides a variety of support services on the Program Support Team within the Health Care Contracts and Claims Management Branch (HCCCMB), Healthcare Invoicing Section (HIS). The duties and responsibilities require excellent clerical and people skills, as this position serves as the initial point of contact for the public, vendors, health care providers, and guests via phone, mail, e‑mail, and in person. Specific amounts of overtime, travel and institution visits may vary.
This position is located in the Healthcare Invoicing Section, which is responsible for processing health care claims for hospitals, physicians, ambulances, registries, and other health care providers. Additionally, this attentive team supports cost containment projects including auditing for and collecting on payment errors due to improper billing.
