Job summary

Verdantas, a leader in environmental consulting and sustainable engineering, seeks a Senior Surveyor for our Toledo, OH team. You will perform advanced survey computations, data processing, and CAD drafting for boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys.

Interpret deeds and title documents to support boundary resolution, lead QA/QC reviews, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality work. mentoring junior staff is also expected.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or Natural Resource Management with a Land Surveying Technology concentration; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant survey experience.
• Proficient with MicroStation, Open Roads, and GeoPak.
• OH Professional Surveyor license preferred; AutoCAD experience required.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform advanced survey computations, data processing, and CAD drafting for boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys.

• Mentor junior surveyors and field staff, providing technical guidance and training.

• Participate in internal technical or cultural groups and contribute to process improvements or new technology adoption.

• Maintain accurate records of field data, project documentation, and survey workflows.

• Demonstrate initiative by seeking out more complex tasks and contributing to team engagement activities.

What You’ll Bring:

• Associates degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or Natural Resource Management with a Land Surveying Technology concentration Bachelors degree preferred

• 5+ years of relevant survey experience

• Proficient with MicroStation, Open Roads, and GeoPak

• OH Professional Surveyor license preferred

• AutoCAD experience required

• DOT right‑of‑way prequel designer/reviewer preferred

• Proven ability to collaborate and work as an effective part of a team

Salary Range:

The starting salary for this position is $100,000, with final compensation determined based on qualifications, experience, and licensing status.
