Login/Client Support Specialist

This position serves as a support role for the laboratory. The role ensures efficient and accurate operations in a fast‑paced laboratory. Responsibilities include greeting clients, vendors, and visitors and answering general questions. Hours are Monday‑Friday 8:30 am–4:30 pm. Must live within commuting distance to Ayer, MA. Full‑time, benefit eligible. Compensation is $20 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Collect samples from on‑site drop box
• Unpack shipments and document receipt of sample
• Organize and record samples
• Data entry into LIMS (TALS experience a PLUS)
• Maintenance of the department and lab, including stocking supplies and housekeeping
• Assist with customer services
• Handle interactions with walk‑in clients
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Process daily mail and small shipments of bottle kits
• Provide great customer service to walk‑in clients
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, further education in biological or chemical science preferred
• Experience in a fast‑pace work environment
• Lab experience and exposure to environmental industry preferred
• TALS experience a plus

Ability and Skills

• Strong computer, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self‑motivated, adaptable, and a positive attitude
• Handle moderate stress in a fast‑paced environment
• Detail oriented – data entry

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
