Job summary

Nemours is seeking an Office Supervisor (Primary Care, Downtown Orlando) to join our pediatric primary care team in Orlando, Florida. This full-time role focuses on day-to-day supervision, coordinating staff, and ensuring a high-quality patient experience within a single practice.

Under the Practice Manager's direction, you will monitor patient flow, assist in staff evaluations, manage scheduling, and help maintain the financial health of the practice while upholding Nemours standards of care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Specialized training beyond high school (1 year).
• Minimum of 1–3 years' experience.
• Travel to other primary care locations as needed for coverage.

Responsibilities

Nemours is seeking an Office Supervisor (Primary Care, Downtown Orlando), FULL-TIME, to join our Primary Care team in Orlando, Florida. Nemours primary care practices provide a kid-friendly, family-centered pediatric primary care experience for families in Central Florida. With 20 primary care and 3 urgent care practices conveniently located throughout the region, we provide quality, professional pediatric services with special attention on preventive care and whole-child wellness.

This position is responsible for:Provide on-site, day-to-day practice supervision, under the direction of the Practice Manager, and in collaboration with the practice providers, to a single practice, to ensure a uniquely satisfying patient experience, a positive team environment, and a financially successful practice.

• Provide input to manager on the selection of new associates.
• Assists in orientation, direction, and evaluation of all clerical and clinical staff, in conjunction with the manager.
• Ensure a uniquely satisfying patient experience. Monitor patient flow on a daily basis, conduct patient rounds, track and share patient satisfaction results with associates. Recommend and implement changes as needed to reach goals and monitor for continued success, in collaboration with manager. Represent and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in customer service.
• Coordinate and maintain staff and provider schedules. Monitor accruals, overtime, and scheduled/unscheduled time off for the preparation and submission of staff and physician payroll in Kronos. Ensure appropriate staffing levels through coordination with associates and manager.
• Ensure a satisfying work experience for associates through application and role modeling of Nemours Standards of Behavior. Provide positive reinforcement or coaching as needed. Activate disciplinary process through manager as warranted.
• Serve as liaison for providers and associates to ensure appropriate communication.
• In conjunction with manager, monitor and approve all standard medical and non-medical supply purchases to stay within the monthly operational budget.
• Monitor all front desk functions and fill-in at front desk, as needed. Seek input and guidance from manager as needed. Maintain hands-on knowledge of registration, charge positing, daily cash reconciliation and bank deposits. Ensure work queues are up to date, and all month-end financial requirements are met.
• Monitor all clinical functions and seeking input from physician-in-charge and manager, as needed.
• Maintain a safe and attractive environment while meeting all OSHA, CLIA, COLA, etc. requirement. Overseefacility for housekeeping, fire safety, equipment.
• Provide input on the development of clerical and clinical individual performance goals on an annual basis, in conjunction with the manager. Review with individual staff on a regular basis to ensure employee reaches those goals. Provide updates to manager and providers on a regular basis of staff performance.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Specialized (1 year of training beyond high school).
• Minimum of one(1) to three (3) years' experience required.
• Travel to other primary care locationsas needed forcoverage is required.
