We are searching for a talented Office Staff Coordinator/Scheduler to meet the needs of the high volume St. Luke's Hospital Emergency Department. This position is an integral member of the department's team to ensure staffing and fiscal responsibility. This dynamic role is an essential part of managing fluctuating patient volume, varied acuity levels, and the complexities of 24/7 operations. To be effective in this role will require balancing patient care needs to staff well-being, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency often using data-driven tools and flexible workforce models to ensure optimal coverage and prevent burnout.

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift

Location: Emergency Department, St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Manager, Patient Care or designee, perform a variety of duties both within and in support of the Emergency Services Department including but not limited to the payroll and scheduling functions. Audit, maintain and update information in ANSOS including employee licensure and certification as well as scheduling information. Analyze scheduling data, identify problems, and recommend and implement with leadership approval, methods to resolve issues and improve processes. Provide various reports to department leadership as needed. Position will require floating to other hospital sites.
Qualifications
  • An Associates Degree in an appropriate field (e.g. Liberal Arts or Secretarial/Medical Secretarial) or the equivalent knowledge and experience is required.
  • Very good interpersonal, organizational, and computer/data management skills are required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use Ansos system is preferred.
  • Over 3 years of related administrative, secretarial or scheduling experience is required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range
USD $17.05 - USD $28.28 /Hr.
