You'll be a vital part of the Public Safety team by helping ensure quality customer service to the diverse citizens of Utah.

General Duties:

General Duties
  • Provide customer service in a call center environment by responding to inbound phone calls.
  • Interact with customers to communicate information about all aspects of the Driver License Division in response to questions from the public.
  • Assist with questions which will range from very basic to very complex, including information about products and services the division provides.
  • Have extensive knowledge and understanding of the agency database and exercise judgment while applying a comprehensive knowledge of pertinent rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Handle customer complaints and offer suitable solutions.
  • Provide the public and others with information and assistance to complete forms and applications.

  • This position is a telework position and you will be required to establish an environment in your home conducive to performing the functions of your job while limiting access to others
  • This position is NOT eligible to receive the DLD uniform allowance
  • DHRM Rules apply to current state employees for promotions and transfers
  • Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
  • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
