Job description

Location: Plantation LPG - 13782 Plantation Road, Fort Myers, FL 33912

Department: LPG Family Medicine - Plantation

Work Type: Full Time

Shift: Shift 1 / 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $1.00 - $358.55 / hour

Summary

Responsible for delivering age and specialty-appropriate medical care through assessment, evaluation, diagnosing, recognition and prevention of adverse events, treatment, and follow-up. Performs responsibilities in four areas of practice: clinician, teacher, leadership, and professional development. Collaborates with colleagues and other professionals to ensure safe, effective, efficient, and patient-centered care, aiming for positive patient outcomes. Monitors quality patient care through customer service and performance improvement initiatives. Provides leadership within the LPG practice location and throughout Lee Health. Maintains excellent communication with patients, families, caregivers, multidisciplinary team members, medical staff, and all employees. Prioritizes quality and safety in patient care and supports the integrated continuum of care within LH/LPG.

Requirements
Educational Requirements

Required: Graduate from an accredited Medical School and Residency; BC/BE

Additional Requirements
  • Experience providing healthcare in international/resource-poor settings
  • Demonstrated teaching and leadership experience with strong leadership potential
State of Florida Licensure Requirements

Required: Medical Doctor

Additional Requirements: Currently licensed or eligible in the State of Florida as a Physician

Certifications/Registration Requirements
  • BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association / Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
