Office Manager at Oregon State University’s Malheur Experiment Station in Ontario, OR, is a full-time, 12-month professional faculty role serving as the operational anchor for the scholarly community addressing environmental, natural resources, and food systems issues.

The position supports the Director in day-to-day operations and fiscal oversight to enable research teams to focus on agricultural solutions. OSU offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and 3 years office management experience in a complex office environment or equivalent combination of education and experience; or 5+ years in office management.
• Proficiency with computers and standard office programs including Microsoft Office, electronic databases, email, and web applications.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality over transactions involving personnel and other sensitive matters.

Responsabilidades

• Assist director with administrative management of the day-to-day operations of the station.
• Assist with purchasing and ordering decisions for the station, including obtaining quotes for large-ticket items such as farm equipment and IT purchases.
• Assist faculty and staff with purchase card management.
• Assist faculty with grant budget preparation, management and oversight.
• Serve as the Human Resources Liaison; maintain records of personnel and submit paperwork to OSU HR for processing.
• Co-arrange or co-coordinate departmental meetings, socials, gatherings, research events, and Field Days at MES.
• Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position.
