Alibaba Cloud is seeking a Network Engineer for its Sunnyvale‑area operations. You will design, implement, and maintain the office network to ensure stable, secure performance for our global cloud platform.

The role emphasizes configuring network policies, monitoring, and automation to improve observability and efficiency. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in CS/EE, 3+ years in network construction and operations, Linux experience, and proficiency with Go or Python for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of network-related work experience; big Internet company experience preferred.
• Proficient in enterprise networking architecture and TCP/IP; familiarity with OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, 802.11x.
• Experience administering and tuning network-security vendor equipment.
• Familiar with Linux and writing automation tools in Go or Python.
• Strong service orientation, communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, operate, and maintain the office network infrastructure.
• Plan and optimize office network policies and access controls.
• Build and maintain network monitoring, automation, and observability platforms.
• Handle daily issues, changes, inspections, and disaster-recovery drills for the office network.
• Support office relocations and capacity expansion projects.
