Summary:

This position oversees business operations and office activities in Anesthesia and Perioperative Services, Critical Care (NICU), Emergency Services, or Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU). The Office Operations Manager is responsible for the overall managerial coordination; provides support for the Director of one or multiple areas, provides support and guidance to department secretaries; and may support the Medical Director. The position maintains organized, efficient office operations, promotes and emphasizes good customer service to ensure high-quality clinical operations and positive customer relations; has the authority, accountability, and shares responsibility for the management of non-clinical personnel, operating budget, payroll, time and attendance; schedules meetings; and may oversee credentialing.Demonstrates sound judgment and appropriate decision-making abilities that take into consideration appropriate policies and procedures. Monitors productivity of the department and appropriate staffing for secretaries in the unit.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required. Associate's degree preferred
  • One (1) years' experience as a medical office secretary or related administrative experience including experience using Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Must demonstrate leadership and management skills, with required prior supervisory experience
  • Must have exceptional written and oral communication, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and project management skills

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

  • Current BLS required if permanently working in a patient care area
