ABOUT OUR COMPANY:

Cornerstone Barricades, Inc. is a Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) service provider based in Gainesville, FL. With over 20+ years of experience working for and with the Florida Department of Transportation, our highly experienced staff specializes in road construction safety. Our Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Certification enables our firm to provide superior MOT services, including designing, installation, maintenance, and equipment rental.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a full-time Office Manager who prioritizes safety and excellence in work quality.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Office Manager will provide general office support, manage financial tasks, and support administrative functions. The role involves maintaining a positive work environment through organization and team support. Key duties include bookkeeping, insurance billing, payroll, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be a team player committed to supporting the firm's overall functioning.

Office Manager duties and responsibilities:
  1. Use bookkeeping software (currently QuickBooks), spreadsheets, and databases.
  2. Record financial transactions accurately in the software.
  3. Manage cash, checks, and vouchers received.
  4. Enter costs (debits) and income (credits) into the system, assigning to appropriate accounts.
  5. Generate financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and account summaries.
  6. Ensure accuracy in figures, postings, and reports, and reconcile discrepancies.
  7. Address customer inquiries and concerns, providing appropriate responses.
  8. Process billing and payments efficiently.
  9. Review and update customer accounts as needed.
  10. Document customer interactions and actions taken.
  11. Refer complex issues to supervisors or experienced staff.
Education, Training, and Certifications:
  • Highly organized, positive, and professional team player.
  • High School diploma or GED required; advanced education or certifications preferred.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Office programs, databases, and online media; previous accounts payable/receivable experience is a plus.
  • Experience with financial record maintenance; QuickBooks proficiency preferred.
  • Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks.
  • Must pass COVID-19 screening.
  • Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle required.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
