In our continued transformation from a real estate company to a customer experience company, we are seeking an Office Manager. This position will report directly to the General Manager and is based at our Daytona Beach, FL center and includes working with the management team, vendors, tenants, and shoppers.

As the Office Manager, you will support all center functions and procedures while executing multi-dimensional center office responsibilities, ensuring the smooth and efficient facilitation of property management overall toward best-in-class experiences for Retailers, Shoppers, Vendors, and Internal Employees.

How can you contribute to what we do?

  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement and introducing new systems.
  • Maintain an organized office environment, ensuring reports, presentations, and documentation are prepared and accessible for the management team.
  • Provide administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and task prioritization.
  • Oversee office equipment functionality and liaise with IT support for technical issues.
  • Create and maintain an onsite filing system compliant with data protection regulations.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and mail professionally and efficiently.
  • Manage cash and credit card functions in accordance with company policies.
  • Coordinate tasks such as correspondence, scheduling, and data entry.
  • Manage Tanger Ambassador staff, ensuring adherence to policies, providing leadership for improvement, and recognizing high performance.
  • Handle recruiting, onboarding, and training of staff, including training for sampling campaigns, marketing activations, and events.
  • Support the management of accounts payable/receivable, maintain accuracy in financial records, and oversee inventory procurement.
  • Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee leasing, operations, and marketing administrative tasks across databases.
  • Conduct property inspections and report findings to Property Management.
  • Act as a primary contact for vendors, contractors, retailers, and shoppers.
  • Support leasing efforts by managing the suite photo database and showing vacant spaces.
  • Research and vet vendors for compliant bidding processes.
  • Manage vendor relations and communication on-site.
  • Assist Marketing with activations, signage, promotions, and advertising documentation.
  • Participate in meetings, marketing events, and community outreach, including occasional nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental communication and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Assist in managing external marketing platforms and maintain relationships with retail partners.
  • Maintain current Emergency Notification Systems and Crisis Management files; take crisis management steps when necessary.
  • Process incident reports and manage life safety reporting during crises.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty as needed, leading crisis responses and urgent needs.
  • Support special projects and provide backup for absent management staff.

About You:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365, Nexus, MRI web, UKG, Adobe Acrobat, with ability to quickly learn Tanger systems.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with people.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to use independent judgment for task prioritization and execution.
  • Interest in process improvement and efficiency.
  • High school diploma or Associate’s degree in Administrative or related field required.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience, with supervisory experience preferred; an undergraduate degree or experience in real estate or retail is a plus.
  • Management and leadership experience, including mentoring and motivating others.
  • Flexible schedule, including holidays; local travel may be required.
