eNGENE (NASDAQ: ENGN) is a late-stage biotechnology company specializing in genetic medicines, focusing on delivering therapeutics to mucosal tissues and other organs. Its lead product candidate, detalimogene voraplasmid, is currently being evaluated in a pivotal study for patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) with carcinoma in situ (Cis) who are unresponsive to BCG. This product was developed using enGene’s proprietary Dually Derivatized Oligochitosan (DDX) platform, which allows for the penetration of mucosal tissues and the delivery of various sizes and types of cargo, including DNA and RNA.
