A minimum of an associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution of higher education and at least two years of experience in a direct service or related field are required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong computer proficiency, are essential. Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel locally, as needed. A valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and proof of current automobile insurance are required. Mileage reimbursement is provided for approved work-related travel. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Experience with nonprofit donor management software is preferred. As the “front door” of the agency, a gracious, welcoming, and customer-focused demeanor is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be adaptable, able to remain composed under pressure, and demonstrate initiative as a flexible team player. Must maintain strict confidentiality, effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, and exercise sound independent judgment when appropriate. Experience working with adults age 60 and older is preferred. Knowledge of Jewish religion, values, and culture is a plus. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. This position is primarily onsite and is not eligible for a flexible, work-from-home arrangement.
This position is supervised directly by VP Jewish Senior, Family & Social Service but shall have reporting and working relationships with the JSFSS Social Workers and other JFGT departments, as assigned.
