Job summary

Medpace is seeking a full-time, office-based Software QA Engineer / ETL Tester to join our Information Technology (IT) team in Cincinnati, Ohio. You will perform manual and automated testing on data warehouse tables and views, working closely with data engineering functions to ensure data integrity.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 1+ years in ETL/software testing, with experience in SQL/Snowflake and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of ETL/software testing experience, preferably in an agile-like environment.
Experience with databases such as SQL, Snowflake, etc.
Experience communicating and working within cross-departmental teams of software developers, data engineers, department leads, and end users.
Excellent computer skills and analytical thinking.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; healthcare industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Analyze and understand business requirements and data mapping specifications.
Create test plans and test cases for tables and views per documented requirements.
Execute tests for source-to-target validation and data transformations.
Report defects and work with the development team toward resolution.
Write test summary reports and participate in daily stand-ups and refinement meetings.
Collaborate with developers and end users throughout the software life cycle to ensure applications meet user needs.
