Job summary

How to be Successful in the Role:

You will need to bring your excellent customer service skills and positive, can-do attitude to this role. Previous experience working in different databases and programs will be helpful as you learn the ACTIVENet system used in Parks. Being comfortable working in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment is a must. Your ability to adapt to and remain open to learning as we work to serve our residents in the best way possible will be the key to your success.

We have administrative support teams across all Parks' regions and all departments within the County. In a position like this, you will have many opportunities to develop your office support skills and learn about public service. This professional experience is invaluable and can lead to advancement within the department and the County.   • Greet and direct visitors; receive, transfer, or refer inquiries to proper sources; provide information relating to department services in person or on the phone.
  • Perform counter work; receive forms and answer questions on routine department processes.
  • Perform cashier functions where fees are standard and evaluation of circumstances is not required.
  • Collect information regarding inquiries and refer to appropriate person for follow-up.
  • Work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
