Under the primary supervision of the Major of Corrections, the Office Assistant is a non-exempt position under FLSA. Among other duties this position performs a variety of clerical duties including clerical and data entry, legal hearings, and reception duties for the Geary County Detention Center; and provides responsive, courteous and efficient service to co-workers, County residents, and the public.
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Minimum of one years’ experience in a clerical, secretarial or administrative assistant position preferred. NCIC certification required within one month of hire.
Must reside within a 30-mile radius of worksite within 90 days of employment.
