Job Description: Administrative Support Specialist at DTE Energy

Testing Required: EEI SASS Basic Competency Assessment Battery Test

Hybrid Role: Must be able to come on-site periodically and reside a commutable distance from the assigned work location.

Emergency Response: Must be available to support DTE's emergency response efforts during storms or other service-impacting events.

Job Summary

Performs complex administrative duties for a Business Leader or Unit, managing resources and deadlines to complete projects on time and within budget. Provides confidential support, coordinates projects, and facilitates information transfer within the organization.

Key Accountabilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for inquiries regarding projects, policies, and confidential information.
  • Manage correspondence, calls, and follow-ups.
  • Support administrative projects, policies, and daily operations.
  • Research and summarize business information; prepare reports and presentations.
  • Coordinate calendars, meetings, travel, and events.
  • Draft business correspondence.
  • Evaluate and improve administrative processes, guide staff, and manage records.
  • Support contract monitoring and bid processes as needed.
  • May require gas FERC training.
Minimum Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with at least 5 years of progressively complex administrative experience.
Other Qualifications
  • Must pass the EEI SASS test with a 'recommended' evaluation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
