Job summary

Cryptic Vector is seeking an Offensive Cyber Engineer to reverse engineer software/firmware, research vulnerabilities, and develop robust exploits. You will deconstruct binaries, design post-exploitation effects, and build stealth, secure software solutions.

Responsibilities include using Ghidra, IDA Pro, and Wireshark; scripting in C, Assembly, Python; and collaborating with hardware teams to analyze traces and signals. Top Secret clearance is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• Proficient in C, Assembly and Python.
• Extensive experience with reverse engineering tools (Ghidra, IDA Pro, Wireshark).
• Experience with x86 architecture and Hex editors.
• Ability to interface with hardware using probes and logic analyzers.
• Top Secret clearance or willingness/ability to obtain TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Reverse Engineering (RE) of software/firmware, Vulnerability Research (VR), exploit development/productization.
• Deconstruct and analyze software/firmware to understand structure, functionality and behavior.
• Design/develop post-exploitation effects in software/firmware, robust and stealthy.
• Design/develop secure, reliable software-based communication solutions.
• Design/develop stealth solutions.
• Use tools like Ghidra, IDA Pro, Wireshark to reverse engineer components.
• Develop scripts and tools in C, Assembly, Rust, and Python to automate RE processes.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to interface with physical devices and signals.
• Write unit, functional and end-to-end tests; prepare detailed reports.
• Work with cross-functional teams to provide insights on reverse-engineered software/hardware.
