Job summary

131 Department of Corrections is seeking a Correctional Case Manager at Jim E Hamilton Correctional Center. This role involves routine social casework in offender classification, assignments, and re-entry planning to support successful community reintegration.

Responsibilities include interviewing offenders, preparing case histories, advising on employment resources and education needs, and coordinating with partners to provide post-release services.

Qualifications

• Level I–III job levels with increasing responsibility in offender classification, program assignment and re-entry services.
• Requires a bachelor's degree and related correctional experience as applicable.
• Knowledge of interviewing, counseling, and offender re-entry processes.

Responsibilities

• Use interview techniques and assessment instruments to determine offender risks and needs.
• Prepare case history reports and recommend program assignments.
• Advise offenders on personal problems, employment resources, vocational skills, educational needs, and institutional adjustment.
• Deliver programs to assist re-entry into the community after release.
