Job summary

State of Oklahoma is seeking a Correctional Records Officer I for the Oklahoma State Reformatory to maintain offender records, audit time calculations, and support sentence administration at the facility or district office.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of professional administrative experience in corrections records management or related fields. Strong data accuracy and coordination with law enforcement and courts are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of professional or technical administrative experience in business, public administration, correctional records management, or social casework.
• Experience with correctional records systems and time calculations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains consolidated offender record cards, legal files, and computer records including time served, credits, and movement histories.
• Audits offender files for accuracy; handles legal mail, warrants, detainers, and court sentence changes.
• Processes transfers, receptions, discharges, paroles, and sentence rebills; prepares extradition paperwork as needed.
• Provides supervision to clerical staff and trains personnel in records management within the Sentence Administration Unit.
