Job summary

NOVO Health Services is seeking a full-time Linen Distributor for our Macon healthcare laundry facility. The ideal candidate will be decisive, responsive, and possess strong communication skills. You will support linen transport, inventory, and client relations while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or similar field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new applications and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Transport clean linen in covered carts to designated hospital areas.
• Collect soiled linen and return to collection points.
• Verify quantities of delivered linen.
• Perform linen inventory as required.
• Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain open communication with supervisors on service or quality issues.
• Provide excellent customer support and build client relationships.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.
• Adhere to safety policies and institutional protocols.
• Operate department equipment as needed.
• Perform general clerical duties (typing, phones).
• Meet Joint Commission Standards.

Essential Functions:

• Transport clean linen in covered carts to designated hospital areas
• Collect soiled linen and return it to the designated collection points
• Verify quantities of delivered linen
• Perform linen inventory as required
• Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally
• Maintain open communication with supervisors on any service or quality issues
• Provide excellent customer support and build strong client relationships
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas
• Adhere to all safety policies and institutional protocols
• Operate department equipment as needed
• Perform general clerical duties (e.g., typing, answering phones)
• Meet Joint Commission Standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or a similar field
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and push/pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Receptive to giving and receiving feedback
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new applications
