Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Driver to load, unload, and transport materials between company work sites. This role requires a CDL and involves operating medium to large trucks on private roads and public highways, with attention to safety and documentation.

Responsibilities include securing cargo, inspecting vehicles, performing basic maintenance, and maintaining logs. Candidates should be able to work irregular hours and be comfortable in a construction environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior construction or trucking experience preferred.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Demonstrated safety awareness and defensive driving skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic site environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium to large trucks to transport materials between company work sites.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other equipment as needed.
• Secure cargo with rope, blocks, or covers for transport.
• Obtain proper documentation prior to moving materials.
• Collect delivery instructions and verify routes and requirements.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections and report defects.
• Conduct basic vehicle maintenance such as checking oil and fluids.
• Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle maintenance per regulations.
