Job summary

Join Kwest Group as a Truck Driver. You will be responsible for the safe operation of your dump truck, daily inspections, and timely transport of construction materials to sites across the project.

You may travel out of town for project work, with a 45–55 hour workweek and safety training provided by the company. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and proven experience with dump trucks, plus knowledge of site safety and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Proven experience operating a standard dump truck.
  • Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and any random screenings if selected.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Willing to travel out of town as required by project schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Complete daily inspection of the vehicle at the start and end of each workday.
  • Keep the assigned vehicle clean and orderly.
  • Load materials and transport them to the construction site in a timely manner.
  • Verify material types and ensure weight restrictions are not exceeded.
  • Maneuver vehicle within construction sites, including backing up with or without a ground guide.
  • Complete inspection paperwork, daily load, mileage, and fuel logs to meet DOT standards.
  • Operate a loader, forklift, or skid-steer as needed to load/unload the vehicle.
  • Safely load and secure dozer, skid-steer, excavator, or other equipment on a trailer.
  • Report all safety/maintenance issues promptly.
