Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking an Off Highway Haul Truck Driver to join our quarry team in Georgia. You will safely operate haul trucks loaded with rock, perform pre-shift inspections, and support maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good working order.

This role requires safety focus, dependability, and the ability to follow defined procedures. Prior haul truck or heavy equipment experience is preferred, with six months as a plus.

Qualifications

• Has a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position.
• Have six (6) months experience as a haul truck driver or other related experience (preferred).
• Experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment and/or equipment used processing plants.

Responsibilities

• Operate a haul truck within company guidelines and safety standards.
• Participate in safety inspections and follow MSHA safety rules and regulations.
• Aid loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product pile as needed.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections and report needed repairs to the supervisor.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment; ensure good housekeeping of equipment.
• Operate other equipment such as pit and yard loaders as needed.
• Assist in training of co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What To Expect

Martin Marietta is seeking a Off Highway Haul Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry. The Off-Highway haul truck driver will perform various maintenance duties in the quarry, safely and efficiently operate the pit and yard loaders, perform daily pre-shift inspections, and perform minor maintenance and repairs on the haul truck. Hours are 6:30 am - 4:00 pm including weekends and overtime as necessary.

A typical day for a(n) Off Highway Haul Truck Driver may include:

• Operating a haul truck within the company guidelines and safety standards
• Participating in safety inspections, plant safety program, and follows company and MSHA safety rules and regulations
• Aiding in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintains product pile as needed
• Performing pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisor
• Performing preventative maintenance, services mobile equipment, and is responsible for good housekeeping of equipment

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position
• Have experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment and/or equipment used processing plants
• Have six (6) months experience as a haul truck driver or other related experience (preferred)
